Eduarda Moura Ronda made a remarkable promotional debut at UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday. In a performance that would make former UFC champion Ronda Rousey proud, Moura dominated her opponent, Montserrat Conejo Ruiz (10-4), by grounding her early in the fight and then delivering a pummeling in the second round to secure a knockout victory.

With this win, Moura extended her unbeaten professional record to 10 bouts, with all 10 victories resulting in finishes. She earned her spot in the UFC after appearing on Dana White’s Contender Series this past August. However, it’s worth noting that her fight week had a few hiccups, as she missed weight for her strawweight contest by 3.5 pounds. As a consequence, she had to forfeit 30 percent of her purse to Conejo.

Despite the weight miss, Moura’s performance was impressive, and she announced herself as a rising star in the women’s strawweight division (115 pounds). In her post-fight interview, she didn’t hesitate to call out one of the division’s veterans, Diana Belbita. She had previously made this callout on social media and reinforced her desire for the matchup.

Moura shared her thoughts after the fight through a Portuguese translator, saying, “It was a dream come true. I wanted to debut anywhere, but obviously, it’s a lot more special here in Brazil. I want to fight Belbita. I’m going to teach her to bark like a dog.”

This victory and her callout of Diana Belbita signal Eduarda Moura’s intention to climb the ranks in the UFC’s women’s strawweight division and make a name for herself on the big stage. Her performance and confidence make her a fighter to keep an eye on in the coming months.
