The anticipated heavyweight bout between Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura has been rescheduled for a UFC Fight Night event on March 16, as confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White. Initially slated for UFC 298 on February 17 in Anaheim, the fight will now take place at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Tai Tuivasa, ranked No. 8 in MMA Fighting’s Global Rankings for heavyweights, aims to break a three-fight skid. His recent losses include knockout defeats to Sergei Pavlovich and Ciryl Gane, along with a submission loss to Alexander Volkov at UFC 292. Prior to this challenging stretch, Tuivasa enjoyed a five-fight winning streak.

Marcin Tybura, ranked No. 11 in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, suffered a setback in his last outing against current interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall at UFC London. Before this defeat, Tybura had secured victories over Greg Hardy and Walt Harris, displaying a 7-2 record in his past nine appearances.
