UFC 189 Will it Shine Like Epic UFC Dublin?

UFC Dublin Retrospective

So here we are on the cusp of the biggest card of 2015 UFC 189. With Jose Aldo Junior originally scheduled to meet Conor McGregor to defend his feather crown. Chad Mendes was called upon to fill in for the injured phenom. There is no doubt that at first a lot of people weren’t all too happy about the shakeup.

With so much hype, so much talk, the fight was billed to be one of the biggest gates in UFC history. Roll on a few days and how soon people move on. Mendes has embraced the role of that guy whom the Irish fans can now target, good or bad. With what is sure to be a raucous crowd in the MGM, with some 4,000 tickets being sold to Irish and UK fans alone. Could UFC 189 be infused with the same energy as that now-infamous night last July 2014 on the north docks at UFC Dublin?

With a line up that in many ways mirrors that very night with Neil Seery, Cathal Pendred, Gunnar Nelson and at the helm McGregor. Let’s hope for that same atmosphere and another night of awesome fights to bring the MGM to fever pitch. It’s almost time to roll ladies and gentlemen, so here we go!
