Remember back in the good old days when Josh Koscheck or “Kos” to his friends. Was a mainstay in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. A product of The Ultimate Fighter, Koscheck has been in or around the top of the UFC‘s welterweight division for a long time. But never quite managing to make it over the top. Unfortunately for him, a certain fighter by the name of Georges St-Pierre ruled the roost, stifling all challenges as they arose.

Tyron Woodley was a former StrikeForce fighter, who had come over to the UFC earlier the same year. Winning his first fight against Jay Hieron. And losing his second bout to a fellow former StrikeForce fighter Jake Shields. This would be Woodley’s third fight in the promotion. As he looked to find a firm footing and establish himself as a threat to the top ten fighters.
