PAULIE MALIGNAGGI STRIKES BACK AT “DIRTY” MCGREGOR

Paulie Malignaggi Hits Back At Conor McGregor

Multi-division former world champion Paulie Malignaggi is back and as per usual, he has a lot to say. He talks about the “knockdown” video that Dana White leaked to the press. As well as his sparring sessions with UFC champion Conor McGregor.

Malignaggi is adamant that the video we are seeing is a great edit of two different rounds. And what we see in the video in terms of Conor holding and hitting. Was a regular occurrence throughout their sparring sessions. When the actual knockdown happened. It wasn’t from the punch, but more that he was off balance. And with Conor again leaning on his head, it just made him off balance and he fell over. At the time no one in the gym even reacted says Malignaggi.

Paulie says that Conor is using MMA tactics in terms of him grabbing behind the neck. Something which is used consistently in MMA when a fighter catches their opponent in a clinch.

He feels that the camp was being sneaky as on one hand, they were saying no cameras. He was led to believe there wasn’t any video being taken. But the same cameras were doing photos and video. And Conor himself was getting to choose which one stayed on and which ones went off! Including those that were there for Showtime All Access.

MALIGNAGGI says No Knockdown

Paulie thinks that by the Team releasing just a section of the video. That even in that one small piece we can see how much Conor likes to put the glove behind the opponents head. Paulie breaks down exactly how the knockdown actually played out in his mind.

That it wasn’t an uppercut as many have called it, but a hook. And on top of that, there was no power behind it. so it didn’t even force him to go down. It was Conor leaning on him and him than losing his balance, no knockdown.
