A man who claims to have been choked out by UFC star Nate Diaz vows vengeance and displays a gruesome wound to the back of his head.
After confronting Diaz following a street fight on Friday in New Orleans, the man, who has been identified online as a user of the TikTok platform named Rodney Petersen, stated that he was supposedly the victim of a chokehold. Diaz rendered the man unconscious by choking him, which resulted in him falling and hitting his head on the floor.
When the video of the fight was made public, people were confused since Petersen looked a lot like boxer turned social media influencer, Logan Paul. On his social media accounts in the past, Peterson has made light of the fact that people often mistake him for his lookalike.
A bewildered Petersen can be seen cursing Diaz and the apparent instance of mistaken identity in a recently released video.
“So I don’t know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz,” he said. “But I’ll telling you what. I’m going to knock him the f*** out when I know he’s coming. You caught me off guard, dude. Did you think I was Logan? What the f***?”
In yet another clip of the incident, Diaz can be seen fleeing what appears to be a pub fight that has moved outside onto the street. Apparently also engaged in the fracas is reality personality and ex-football player Chase DeMoor, who was attacked by Diaz on Friday when the latter hurled a water bottle at him at the Misfits Boxing 6 event, where DeMoor’s longtime teammate Chris Avila was fighting.
In a boxing bout scheduled for the month of August, Diaz will take on Jake Paul, the younger brother of Logan Paul. This will be his first fight after becoming a free agent and leaving the UFC. He stated in the bout announcement that he will be returning to the MMA promotion after the August 6 event.
