Eddie Bravo Against Royler Gracie Metamoris 3
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner Eddie Bravo takes on Royler Gracie at Metamoris 3 in the best of the best in grappling, on March 29th, 2014. All the activities take place at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The event was streamed only online on Metamoris and the event was SOLD OUT completely. As these two former competitors once again faced off on the mats.
These two competitors originally faced off on the mats at ADCC in Abu Dabhi back in 2003. In that match, Eddie Bravo emerged the winner in a fight he was not supposed to win! In what became known as one of the biggest upsets in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu history. So when Metamoris offered them both the opportunity to compete again for a second time, both men accepted.
The rematch provided for an outstanding occasion as we got to see the Eddie Bravo Tenth planet system. Versus that of the Gracie family system in what proved to be an outstanding bout. Royler Gracie held the top position for some time but was unable to affect any finishing move. And it would appear from a neutral fan’s perspective that Bravo did enough to win the match.
Based on aggression and submission attempts, Bravo had the most attempts at submitting his opponent. However, due to the rules of the fight, it was in the end deemed a draw. However, in reality, this was a win for 10th planet as Bravo showed why he is one of the most highly touted Jiu-Jitsu fighters on the planet.
