Cris Cyborg Responds to Holly Holm “Sign the Contract” UFC 219

Cris Cyborg Responds About USADA Allegations

Cris Cyborg responds to the recent video Holly Holm posted about USADA testing. Cyborg supports USADA testing as a way to prove she is competing as a clean athlete. Recently Holly Holm highlighted the fact that she has been tested 9 times in 2017 while competing in 3 fights. In comparison, Cyborg has already been tested 8 times despite only 1 fight in 2017. Holly who was quick to point out she has been tested 1 more time this year than Cyborg. Failed to mention that only one of those tests has occurred during the last quarter of the year.

Wanting to prove to all fans that she is a clean athlete Cyborg has suggested that Holly and herself agree to be “random tested” the same amount of times between Oct. 1st and Dec 30th leading up to their UFC 219 bout New Years Eve in Las Vegas.

JacksonWink MMA fighters

JacksonWink MMA has had several notable MMA fighters suspended for doping violations. Following training camps at their New Mexico facility. Including heavyweight Alistair Overeem, Jon Jones, Shane Carwin, Ali Baghautinov, Nate Marquardt, Frank Mir. And numerous other UFC athletes using the facility as their training camp.

Last December Holly Holm’s coach Mike Winkeljohn gave an interview. Where he stated he would like to see Cris Cyborg complete a full year with USADA testing without incident.

Following a doping violation 6 years ago, Cris Cyborg has not been suspended for any violations since the one flagged sample in 2016 was given a Therapeutic Use Exemption for the use of Spironolactone following an extensive review of her medical records from an independent review board by USADA that granted her a TUE without penalty.

a UFC 219 Dec. 30th showdown between Cris Cyborg Vs. Holly Holm will have completed that request.

Cyborg who supports USADA testing is requesting both her and Holly Agree that they will both be subject to the same number of random tests during training camp as an opportunity to prove they are both clean athletes ahead of the UFC 219 fight.
