Countdown to UFC 190 sees Ronda Rousey Taking on Bethe Correia
Countdown to UFC 190 takes you inside the training camps and lives of the main card fighters of the upcoming card in Rio De Janeiro this weekend. Dominant UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is busy preparing to go into enemy territory. To defend her crown against an undefeated challenger in Bethe Correia. Correia has been very vocal in her personal attacks on Rousey and the champion is out for revenge.
We get some insight into the development in the bond between the four horsewomen, the Team Rousey contestants from the TUF house. And how Correia’s subsequent beating and deriding of Rousey’s friends, as well as her suicide comments. Has made this fight very personal for the champion. It’s fair to say that Rousey has never been so angry going into a fight. How that will all play out on the night itself is anyone’s guess.
During this episode, we also get to see former world heavyweight boxing champion Iron Mike Tyson. Who after being invited to watch Ronda train, sits cage side and takes in how the champion has improved her hands. And it seems as though Mike likes what he sees. Going on to speak with Rousey and give her some tips in terms of punching prowess.
And while going into the fight itself, Rousey is the obvious favourite. Bethe was hoping to get under her skin and upset the champion before they ever step foot inside the UFC octagon. We follow the preparations of the champion as she looks to shut the Brazilian’s mouth in emphatic fashion. It all goes down this Saturday night in Rio at UFC 190 Rousey vs Correia. As she looks to cement her position as the UFC’s most dominant champion.
