CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. LUKE ROCKHOLD Breakdown
On 12/12/2015 @ UFC 194, we are blessed with one of the greatest fight cards in the history of MMA. While I’m as intrigued as anyone for the Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor fight, there are others on the card to get excited about for sure. The legend killer, undefeated middleweight champion Chris Weidman, faces what in my eyes will be his toughest test to date in challenger Luke Rockhold.
Luke poses many potential problems for Weidman, as he may very well be the better striker, and has at the very least comparable ground skills to the reigning champ. Can Weidman get Luke Rockhold to the ground if he has trouble with the southpaws diverse and devastating striking? If so can he do damage there? Will Rockhold use his incredible footwork and savvy to pick apart Weidman and finish him in the early rounds as he has predicted?
